Bedroom Reveal

I had the pleasure to work with one of our favorite clients in taking her daughter’s room from little girl to sophisticated teen. I find that most of my clients have a very good idea of what they want. This client has great taste, she just needed a little bit of guidance. We used several existing pieces in the room but give them an updated look. Her great taste paired my guidance we love the way this room turned out!
IMG_6506_7147One of the toughest challenges is blending colors and patterns in a room. My client already had the base paint colors picked out. I came in to help blend the coordinating fabrics and to work with her on stenciling a feature wall. We decided to stencil the room instead of wallpapering. The stencil that we used on this wall is called “Large Linked In” by Royal Design Studio. I love the way this featured wall turned out!
pillowsThe head board was a piece that was already in the room. We had it reupholstered in a neutral linen fabric that coordinates with the bed skirt.
IMG_6523_7164 copyThe details in this room are what make it extraordinary. The chair was reupholstered in the same coral that was used for the pillow shams on the bed. I painted the legs white and we had the chair piped in white to outline the shape of the chair. It was the clients idea to add a bad to the bottom of the drapes using the same coral that is in the chair and pillow shams. These are all the beautiful little details that make a room come together! Notice the little picture frame left of the chair, those are her daughters hand prints from when she was three years old. When we painted the room we left them we loved them so much we couldn’t paint over them.

ShandallerThe chandelier is a stunning feature to this room! It is a vintage chandelier that my client and her husband found on vacation many years ago. It looks absolutely spectacular in this space. While the room has a bright and youthful feel adding this classic chandelier brings in that level of sophistication that we wanted.
featuresThe mirror and the lamps are fun features that add youth to room. This client has a great eye for design and she was able to get these great finds at our local TJMax! As you can see this is not an overly large room. The room measures ¬†at 13×13 so we had to pay great attention to detail and make sure that all colors, patterns, and fabrics coordinated with size of the space.
