Christmas Tablescape

I was excited when a past client of mine called and asked me to help her update her breakfast room. She felt that the room was feeling a little tired and dated, and wanted a fresh new take. Here is her before.

We were extremely pleased with the end result.I love using green in a room with large windows because to me, the green acts as a neutral, bringing the outdoors in.

Because it is the holidays, I asked my sweet client if she would mind if we staged the room as though she was about to host a small holiday dinner. She happily agreed and let us come in and take over her new space.

I collect vintage mercury glass ornaments so I decided to fill her lantern with old ornaments, and then place a few of my favorites on the plates. If you are on a budget, look for ornaments at estate sales and Goodwill.

This year Southern Loom featured stockings and table runners. I love this collection with the homespun linen and french script banding.

Most of the pillows were custom made for this room. The stockings, table runner and “Merry Christmas Y’all” pillows can be purchased through our Etsy page.

Thank you to my sweet friend Christine for allowing us to come into your gorgeous home to stage it for the holidays. Thank you Krista, with Krista Joy Photography, and to Irvington Spring Farm for providing the greenery, this shoot turned out beautiful! Happy Holidays!

  1. Hi, Rebekah,

This is beautiful! Somehow I missed this post. Makes me want to have you add some softness to our shutters. It will probably have to be done very slowly, though. We can talk about it again.
